DPI detection is actually a computationally intensive application, which requires scanning the entire data packet, and the computational overhead is very large. Traditional network devices mostly use software solutions to implement this function, and they are processed on a general-purpose CPU. In the case of monopolizing one CPU core, they can only achieve Mbit/s-level processing capability, which is not suitable for carrier-level deployment. At the same time, the DPI deployment of LTE services emphasizes the refined operation and integration of multimedia data services. At the same time, the DPI solution must consider the current needs and expansion of 2.5G and 3G data services. China Mobile has a clear strategic demand for network integration development.
